Question 1

Can I use an online or AI-based color analysis before booking?

Accepted Answer

Online tools and AI apps are a great way to start exploring your season. However, smartphone cameras automatically adjust white balance and skin tone depending on lighting, which means the image the app reads is not the same as what is actually in front of the mirror. In the studio, we work under controlled lighting around 5000K to 5500K, close to natural daylight, and place real fabric drapes directly under your face. Online analysis is a fun, educated guess. Coming in is how you confirm it.

Question 2

How accurate is AI or ChatGPT color analysis compared to in-person?

Accepted Answer

AI-based color analysis is approximately 50-70% accurate for broad four-season classification, but only 30-40% accurate for detailed 12-season tone analysis. This is because smartphone cameras apply automatic white balance correction and skin smoothing, which alters the actual tone of the image before AI processes it. In-studio analysis under standardized lighting with real fabric drapes provides direct observation of how reflected color affects facial contours, dark circles, and complexion in real time.
